Recognized by Boston Globe as “the most beautiful theatre in New England”, Weston Theater is the Okemo Valley Regional Chamber’s Member of the Month for June 2024! Weston Theater is where world-class entertainment meets Vermont charm.

A little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll; they combine the highest level of artistic quality with a deep, meaningful relationship to community. When you visit, you’ll find theatrical performances filled with singing, dancing, and incredible talent and spirit.

Director of Marketing & Communications Andy Butterfield shares: Our commitment to artistic excellence and community involvement has allowed us to thrive for nearly nine decades, making us a cultural hub that continues to bring thousands of people together each year.

The company was born in the midst of the Great Depression, during Weston’s long, dark winters when the town was cut off from the villages over the hills. Neighbors would come together to put on plays as a way of bringing stories – the world beyond – to life.

With the support of its community for 88 years, the company has survived three war-torn summers in the 1940s, a fire that destroyed the original Greek revival building in 1962, flooding which challenged its replacement a decade later and again after Hurricane Irene in 2011, the international COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020-21, and we continue to rebuild after the historic flood of July 2023, ending that season with an adapted version of the aptly titled SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN.

This year’s shows promise laughter and inspiration, with stories centered around family, friendship, love, and hope. From JERSEY BOYS and its story of the sensational Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons to THE PORCH ON WINDY HILL’s heartwarming tale about the unifying power of music; from PIPPIN’s magical journey to the spine-tingling secrets of THE WOMAN IN BLACK, Season 88 promises to thrill audiences with the joy of live performance.
