Martha & Curt Cowles at Glebe Mountain Gardens & Landscaping were selected as our June 2022 MEMBER OF THE MONTH to celebrate their participation in the Vermont Blooms Passport Program helping to draw visitors from around the state to our region!
Glebe Mountain Gardens & Landscaping in Londonderry, Vermont is a family owned business that was started in 1995. With the help of family & friends, their garden center building was opened a year later in 1996 when their daughter was only 10 days old! Glebe Mountain Gardens offer a full service garden center, start-to-finish landscaping and lawn & garden maintenance services. They pride themselves on excellent customer service, diligent plant care, and a knowledgeable & friendly staff of 20 employees. Curt is also a Certified Vermont Horticulturalist.
Their full service landscaping services are available between April & October and include: landscape design, perennial garden design, tree & shrub planting, stone patios & walls, walkways, mulching, lawn & garden maintenance, spring & fall cleanup, hard scaping, and fertilization programs. Their full service garden center sells perennials, annuals, trees & shrubs, vegetables + herbs, organic seeds, soil amendments and gifts. They also offer a special Holiday Shop which is open between Thanksgiving to December 23rd from Tuesdays to Sundays. This seasonal shop features Christmas Trees, wreaths, ribbons, poinsettias, bulbs and gifts. Most of their clients are in Southern Vermont.
When asked about the best feature of their business, Martha & Curt mentioned their “plant quality and customer service communication“. The biggest challenge the business is currently facing is finding employees interested in this line of work. For employment opportunities with them, click HERE. They also believe the best part of being a member of the Okemo Valley Chamber is the exposure it provides for their business.
