Success in Watercolor II with Betsy Johnson
This workshop is for those that have completed Success in Watercolor I or have some basic experience in watercolor and want to progress. We will have a short exploration of the basics then progress to value studies and how to compose a successful painting from a photo. We will work on a simple painting together then students will pick from a variety of images provided and work on a painting of their own.
Those who do not feel they have the appropriate supplies may “rent” a palette loaded with paint and brushes. Paper is not provided.
A resident of Weston Vermont, Betsy Johnson has been a watercolor landscape artist for five years. She is inspired by the spectacular beauty of the New England area and enjoys painting “en plein air” in the summer months. She teaches watercolor in her studio at home as well as teaching art at Okemo Mountain School.
