First Tracks explores how in Londonderry, a small Vermont town, a dynamic young innovator, Jake Carpenter, took the concept of a snurf board and created not only an industry but also a worldwide snowboarding movement. The exhibit will include memorabilia, photos, videos and storyboards from late 70’s to early 90’s to capture the progression of the Burton snowboard, snowboarding “pioneers,” and those who contributed to the development of the Burton board, many of whom still reside in our area today.
