Chester Townscape (formerly known as Chester Beautification Committee) is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to enlisting public and private resources to enhance the natural, historic, and architectural features of the town and to further Chester’s environmental and cultural vitality. Chester Townscape is a committee of Chester Community Alliance, Inc. [CCA], a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization.

Chester Townscape’s projects include seasonal displays, tree care at the Village Green, restoration of the Hearse House & Public Tomb, and a walking tour map of the central village. The newest Chester Townscape project in partnership with the Town of Chester, involved new landscaping in front of the Information Booth situated on Main Street between the Academy Building (aka Chester Historical Society) and the Hearse House Museum.

Volunteer and professional help for these projects is always encouraged and appreciated.
