The best thing about visiting or living in the Okemo Valley region is its diverse range of attractions all within a short walk or drive. Within 10 minutes of Ludlow you can travel on Scenic Route 100 North to President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site in Plymouth. There you can see cheese being made at Plymouth Artisan Cheese. Sampling is encouraged too! On the way, you will drive along our lakes region where you can relax at Camp Plymouth State Park, bring a picnic and have a swim or try kayaking.
Also from Ludlow you can travel 10 minutes on Scenic Route 100 South to Village of Weston. The entire Village of Weston is listed on the Historic Register and is home of The Vermont Country Store, Weston Playhouse live summer theater and several unique shops, museums and galleries.
From Weston you can travel 10 minutes to Chester where you’ll find a fine array of Art and Antiques. Be sure to stop in the newest art, museum and education center, the Vermont Institute of Contemporary Arts, or VTICA. We also have an antique trail to follow.
In Ludlow we have unique galleries and gift shops as well as some of the best dining options around.
If art is where you’re interest is, we have dozens of options and for a look at our guide, feel free to print this listing: Art Guide for the Okemo Valley
