Weston

Weston, Vermont

The town of Weston, incorporated in 1799, was originally part of Andover but the ridge created by Markham and Terrible Mountains made it impossible to get from one side of town to the other.  The town's  name was derived from its location as the west town of Andover.

Located on Rt. 100, 5 miles north of Rt. 11 in Londonderry and 10 miles south of Ludlow, Weston is anchored by one of the most picturesque village greens in Vermont.  Virtually untouched by time, the entire village is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Weston is the home of The Vermont Country Store, The Weston Playhouse (Vermont's oldest professional theatre company), and the famous Weston Priory (a Benedictine monastery). You will find a visit to Weston a wonderful, relaxing step back in time.
