Ludlow
Located at the junction of Rt 100/103, this 150+ year old village began life as a mill town powered by the Black River. Chartered Sept 16, 1761 when Seth Lee claimed his lot and settled on what is now Pond Street (Main St). In 1783-4 brothers Josiah & Jesse Flethcher, Simeon Reed, and James Whitney moved into town from Massachusetts. By 1792 the town was fully organized around the Village Green and the first town meeting held on the last day of March.
Today, Ludlow is a thriving four-season town in the heart of the Okemo Valley with shops, galleries, and exceptional dining and lodging choices. Ludlow is home to Okemo Mountain Resort, a perfect Winter playground with world-class amenities. In Spring there is maple-sugaring and trophy trout fishing. Come Summer enjoy our beautiful lakes, hiking trails and exceptional golf. Fall brings festivals and craft fairs, to say nothing of our breathtaking fall foliage. Come visit us year round and discover the Okemo Valley in all seasons! www.ludlow.vt.us
